ALL STAR BASEBALL PLAYER/TEAM OF THE WEEK



All Star Baseball Academy is pleased to announce our Player of the Week Award, and also recognize the players who have been nominated by their coaches:


PLAYERS OF THE WEEK:


Brian Giacchino and Dan Brogan, 16U Elite West Chester Team—Brian went 5 for 10 at the plate and scored 4 runs at the Underclass World Championship in Ft. Myers, FL. Dan tossed 7 strong innings with 8 K’s, while allowing only 4 hits and 1 earned run.


Nolan Green, 17U Broomall Team—Nolan was hot with the bat as he went 6 for 8 at the 18U Sports At The Beach Tournament.


Also Nominated:


Chris Heilman, 13U West Chester Team— Chris tossed 4 solid innings at the Ripken Columbus Day Tournament, showing excellent control and poise on the mound.


Patrick Meenan and Jack Larini, 13U Warminster Team—Patrick pitched out of a bases loaded, no outs jam in the first inning at Ripken, and threw 3 innings with 0 earned runs. Jack was 3 for 5 with a double and 3 stolen bases. He was also hit by a pitch.



TEAM OF THE WEEK:


ASBA 16U Elite Team, West Chester
The All Star Baseball team of the Week is the 16U Elite Team from West Chester, coached by Brian Walker.
The team travelled to the WWBA Underclass World Championship in Fort Myers, Florida and faced very tough competition. The ASBA squad went 1-3 but was competitive in the top Elite level tourney behind the play of Brian Giacchino and pitcher Dan Brogan.
